Shipping Conditions

If you have special shipping needs or would like an order to ship at multiple times during your project, please let us know and we will be happy to make the arrangements. About a week before the product ship date we will contact either you or the builder to make final shipping arrangements. The day or so before your shipment arrives you will be contacted by the freight company to confirm delivery.

Shipment of your order

Every order we ship is carefully packaged in accordance with its contents.  First, we protect the product with cardboard edges attached with strapping. Finally, we custom build every pallet and crate making sure your merchandise will arrive safely at the final destination.

Trucks and what to expect

The trucks themselves are usually around 36′ to 53′ long. Please let us know if you have special needs or cannot accept a large truck.

Pick up your wood at our warehouse!

For local orders, you may always choose to pick up your wood yourself, or have your order picked up by your agent.

Important details upon delivery

It will be important to give some thought to where the flooring will physically go upon delivery; for example:

• Make sure there is an area in the home or storage area that is suitable to receive the merchandise. We recommend that all HVAC controls are in full operation and that all “wet work” has been completed in any storage area.
• Ensure that there are people on hand to unload the merchandise (Carriers don’t tend to want to handle the freight!)
• Any obstacles at the point of delivery should be removed or discussed with the carrier. A large truck should be able to gain access to the site and turn around.
