In 2005, Ralf Veser was driving along a country road in Northern Canada, on his way to dismantling old reclaimed cedar wood fences, when he came across many beautiful but abandoned barns along the way. Several barns were in bad shape and their owners were about to burn them down. Captivated by the beauty of the antique beams and reclaimed woods that he saw, this fortunate drive became the beginning of Veser Antique Woods.
From that very day, Ralf established relationships with owners that allowed him to dismantle barns, factories and other 100-year-old plus buildings in order to salvage their antique and rare woods. Committed to sustainability and recycling, Veser Antique Woods is dedicated to providing a little bit of history, a lot of character, and wood patina unequal to any new wood species sold today. We even recycle the waste, compressing the saw dust into wood briquettes and selling them to the general public to be reused as a heating source for their homes!
From a small barn where the wood was processed to the over 18 000 s.f. factory located in St-Cyprien-de-Napierville, Canada, Veser Antique Woods has become one of the largest manufacturers of reclaimed woods in Canada. We control the entire process: from salvaging, milling, de-nailing, sawing and kiln drying the wood, all in order to provide you with superior quality reclaimed woods. With large inventories and capabilities to deliver on both commercial and residential projects, we provide paneling, siding, flooring, beams, and custom millwork across Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia.
What we value most is the relationship we build with our clients year after year, project after project, and seeing our reclaimed woods take on a new life once they leave our factory. We continuously strive for perfection, the development of new reclaimed wood products, and raising the bar year after year.
